MioMap V3.3
Faster display, quicker route calculation, TMC support and
speed (safety) camera warnings are only some of the new features
of the MioMap v3. Don't take us on our word - have a look
for yourself at the real-speed videos and real screenshots
of this all-new navigation software.
The C520 comes with the latest Tele Atlas map (2007.1) of
22 countries of Europe already installed.

Traffic Message Channel (TMC) information
TMC gives your Mio C520t the capability to pick alternative
routes to navigate you around traffic jams and hold-ups as
you go. The TMC module is fully integrated in the cradle.
The TMC service delivers instant traffic and travel information
direct to your Mio navigation device.
The information is broadcast via radio stations throughout
Europe and the data integrates with Tele Atlas maps used by
your Mio device.
In most European countries TMC information is provided free
of charge.

Widescreen
view of the world
The Mio C520 is based around its 4.3 widescreen. The
new screen size makes this new device easier to use than ever.
|
 |
 |
Mio Splitscreen
The Mio C520 makes intelligent use of its widescreen. The
screen enables you to see the full map view and a selection
of route information aside from it.
It means that you can easily identify route information,
such as points of interest, without quitting the navigation
function.
You can choose the information to display:
Your next four manoeuvres
Local Points of Interest
Speed camera locations
Route and timing data
This unique multi-tasking is one of the main advantages
of Mios new MioMap v3.3 interface.

Simple, intuitive navigation
A crystal-clear touch screen, finger-sized buttons and new
predictive keyboard make the C520 simple to use as well as
easy to follow.
On-screen buttons and clever predictive keyboard make it easy
to enter a destination, whether by name or full 7 digit postal
code. Frequently used addresses can be stored in a list of
favourites so you don't have to type them in every time, and
you can also designate a shortcut button for your own address.
As you drive along, all the journey information you need is
easy to see. Estimated time of arrival, distance, battery,
TMC and signal status can all be viewed. You can also keep
an eye on the speed you're travelling at and, just in case
you need reminding, speed limits are also shown when available.

 |
 |
Speed Camera warnings
The Mio C520 tells you the likely locations for fixed and
possible locations of mobile traps. You can choose between
visual and/or audio signal to warn you.
You can download new speed camera locations from Mio website.
The updates are free of charge for one year from the moment
of your registration.
You can also indicate new speed camera locations on your device,
and upload them to the database. You can even determine the
direction of the speed camera.
Neither Action Replay nor Mio are responsible for errors or
missing speed camera locations in the Mio database.

Hands-free calling with Bluetooth
Use the C520 for hands-free calling when combined with a
Bluetooth™ enabled mobile phone.
Together with a Bluetooth™ mobile phone, the C520 allows
you to keep your hands safely on the wheel whenever you're
on the phone. It automatically switches from navigation to
phone mode every time you receive a call.
|
 |
 |
Make calls and navigate directly to Outlook
contacts
The C520 not only synchronises with Outlook™ Contacts on
your desktop computer, it takes you straight to them.
With the C520, you never have to leave the office without
your Outlook™ Contacts. But what makes life really easy is
the ability to call or navigate directly to a contact. Just
select the name and you'll be able to call them or navigate
directly to their home or office. If you have their full address,
including the official name of the street saved in Outlook™,
of course.

Points of Interest
Arranged in easy to use categories, an impressive list of
POIs comes ready to access.
The C520 is programmed with an extensive range of Points Of
Interest (POI), arranged into easy to use categories such
as restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, cash machines,
parking, shops etc.
Many of the POIs now include phone numbers. So now you can
find the location of a good restaurant or hotel and phone
ahead to make a reservation.
The C520 makes it easy to quickly look up POI’s close
to your current location or those situated along your chosen
route.

 |
 |
Choose the way you want to travel
You can use the C520 outside the car as well as inside it.
Thanks to the pedestrian mode, you can use the C520 to explore
Great Britain on foot. It navigates as smoothly in the historical
centre of York as on the motorway.
The C520 takes account of the way you want to travel on the
road as well. Choose the type of vehicle you're using, the
type of route you prefer, even the type of road.
After all, if you want to walk you'll probably want to take
a different route to when you go by car or cycle. Whether
you want to avoid toll roads, go by the quickest way possible
or take the shortest route, the C520 shows you which way to
go.

Lots of extras
When you're not navigating, you can use it
to listen to your favourite music or to have
a look through your latest photos.
The C520 is a navigation device, but it also offers a lot
more than that. The SD/MMC memory card slot expansion slot
means you can play all your stored music and look at your
favourite snaps - or show them to other people.
On top of that, the currency converter will
help make sure you aren't paying over the
odds when you go abroad.
It's all wrapped in an impossibly slim and elegant design
that's light enough to carry anywhere and small enough to
fit in your pocket. With the C520, you'll get used to getting
there in style.
